of life at Copia: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts. Visitors
learn the history, science, politics, and health benefits of food when
they tour this cultural museum. Artworks and exhibits, including the new
Julia Child's copper cookware collection, teach visitors about the
art and history of cooking. Visitors also receive a lesson in agriculture
while touring the facility, which is located at 500 First Street in Napa.

The Culinary
Institute of America at Greystone
Cooking takes on new meaning for visitors of The Culinary Institute of
America. Skilled chefs share some cooking tips as they prepare meals right
before salivating spectators at the DeBaun Theater. A chance to see wonderful
cooking demonstrations isn't the only benefit of visiting this institute.
There is a café, a marketplace that sales a cornucopia of cookware
and utensils, and a restaurant on site. This is truly an experience you
don't want to miss.

Learn the history and customs of Napa Valley by touring the city's
museum. The Napa Valley Museum is dedicated to preserving its heritage
and sharing it with the world. Several exhibits relating to science, agriculture,
and art are on display. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every
day, except Tuesday.

Valley visitors have an opportunity to dine like never before aboard the
unique Napa Valley Wine Train. Gourmet meals, whether for brunch, lunch,
or dinner, are served aboard the train, which meanders through the wine
country's scenic vineyards. Guests may savor various wines of choice
as they ride the train. Jazz concerts and a Murder Mystery Dinner are
other features of the adventure train.
Old Faithful
Geyser
Witness a natural phenomenon in nearby Calistoga. A boiling pool of shallow
water shoots out steam at 30-minute intervals. Get your camera ready to
capture the erupting moment. Old Faithful Geyser, located off of Tubbs
Lane, can be viewed daily between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. during the summer,
and until 5 p.m. in the winter. The site also features a geothermal exhibit
hall, snack bar, gift shop, and picnic area. Admission is $8 for adults,
$7 for seniors, and $3 for children between ages 6 and 12. Children under
age 6 are admitted free of charge.

Safari West, a wildlife preserve covering 400 acres of land.
Six Flags
Marine World
Plan a family outing to this thrilling amusement park located in Vallejo,
which is just 10 miles from Napa. Six Flags Marine World amuses visitors
with exhilarating roller coaster rides, fun-loving animal presentations,
and intriguing hands-on exhibits. Admission prices vary for adults and

The Petrified
Forest
Trek
through this unique forest to learn about the damaging affects of explosive
volcanoes. The Petrified Forest, a privately own park established in 1910,
features a number of interesting trees. Visitors learn a lot about nature
as they hike the attraction's wooded trails.
The Wine
Plane

breathtaking views of Napa Valley as you soar over "The Wine Country"
during an aerial tour provided by The Wine Plane. Visitors have an opportunity
to capture the most amazing scenes of the valley. Tours are conducted
in the company's Cessna Skyhawk 172 or its Cessna Centurion 210.
